What should I expect during my first visit?
Your first visit will include:
✔ A comprehensive oral examination
✔ Digital X-rays (if necessary)
✔ A professional cleaning (if scheduled)
✔ A discussion of your dental concerns & treatment options
Our goal is to make your visit comfortable and informative while providing personalized care for your dental health.
Do you treat children?
Yes! We provide gentle pediatric dentistry for children of all ages. Dr. Vaqar, as a mother of three, understands how to create a fun, stress-free experience for kids to ensure their dental health from an early age.
What should I do in a dental emergency?
If you experience severe pain, a knocked-out tooth, swelling, or a dental injury, call us immediately. We offer emergency dental care to treat urgent issues as quickly as possible.
Insurance & Payment
Do you accept dental insurance?
Yes! We accept all dental insurance plans as an out-of-network provider. While we are not in-network with any specific dental insurance company, we work with all PPO dental insurance plans to help you maximize your benefits.
What does it mean to be an out-of-network provider?
Being out-of-network means that we are not contracted with any insurance company’s network, but most PPO plans still allow you to choose your own provider and receive reimbursement for services. We will help you file your claims and work with you to understand your benefits.
Will my insurance cover out-of-network care?
Most PPO insurance plans provide partial reimbursement for out-of-network care. The exact coverage depends on your individual plan. Our team will verify your benefits and provide an estimate before treatment.
What payment options do you offer?
We offer multiple payment options to make dental care affordable:
💳 Major credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AMEX)
💰 Cherry Financing & other financing options
📄 Health Savings Accounts (HSA) & Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
🔹 Payment plans for select treatments
Preventive & General Dental Care
How can I prevent cavities?
To prevent cavities, you should:
✔ Brush your teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste
✔ Floss daily to remove plaque between teeth
✔ Limit sugary foods and drinks
✔ Visit LiT Dental for regular cleanings & checkups
Does professional teeth cleaning remove stains?
Yes! A professional dental cleaning removes surface stains caused by coffee, tea, wine, and smoking. However, for deeper stains, we offer teeth whitening treatments for a noticeably brighter smile.
What are the signs of gum disease?
Symptoms of gum disease (gingivitis or periodontitis) include:
- Bleeding gums when brushing or flossing
- Swollen, red, or tender gums
- Persistent bad breath
- Gum recession (pulling away from teeth)
If you notice these signs, schedule an appointment immediately to prevent further damage.
Restorative & Cosmetic Dentistry
What can I do about missing teeth?
We offer several options for missing teeth, including:
- Dentures (full or partial)
- Dental bridges
- Implants (referral required)
Our team will help you choose the best option based on your needs and budget.
Are tooth-colored fillings better than metal fillings?
Yes! Tooth-colored fillings blend seamlessly with your natural teeth, making them more aesthetically pleasing. They are also safer and mercury-free compared to metal fillings.
How long does teeth whitening last?
The results of professional teeth whitening can last 6 months to 2 years, depending on your habits. Avoiding coffee, tea, and smoking helps maintain results longer.
What is a smile makeover?
A smile makeover is a personalized treatment plan designed to improve your smile’s appearance. It may include:
✔ Teeth whitening
✔ Veneers
✔ Orthodontic treatment
✔ Bonding or contouring
Root Canals & Extractions
Do root canals hurt?
No! Root canals have a bad reputation, but modern techniques make them virtually painless. A root canal actually relieves pain caused by an infected tooth.
How do I know if I need a tooth extraction?
You may need an extraction if you have:
- Severe tooth decay beyond repair
- Impacted wisdom teeth
- A cracked tooth that cannot be saved
- Advanced gum disease
Dr. Vaqar will evaluate your tooth and discuss the best option for you.
Pediatric Dentistry (Kids Dentistry)
When should my child have their first dental visit?
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) recommends a first visit by age 1 or within six months of the first tooth erupting.
How can I help my child avoid cavities?
To prevent cavities in kids:
✔ Encourage proper brushing & flossing
✔ Limit sugary snacks & drinks
✔ Ensure regular dental visits every 6 months
✔ Consider fluoride treatments & sealants
